Kanto SEO Audit: SEO and AI crawler checks for WordPress
Audit any post, page or your homepage the way search engines and AI crawlers actually see it. Get a 0–100 score, a fix list in plain language, and a crawler-by-crawler answer to “can AI assistants find and cite my site?”

On-page checks
Every post, page or the homepage
- Title tag: missing, too short, too long (Google truncates around 60 characters) or printed twice
- Meta description: missing, too short or too long
- Headings: missing or multiple H1s, skipped levels such as H2 followed by H4
- Images with no alt attribute
- Canonical URL and noindex (robots meta and X-Robots-Tag)
- Open Graph and structured data (JSON-LD and microdata, invalid JSON-LD flagged)
- Broken internal links: every internal link is checked for 404s and other errors
- Thin content, mobile viewport, lang attribute, HTTPS and mixed content
Each issue has a severity (critical costs 25 points, high 10, medium 5, low 2) and a note on how to fix it in WordPress. The most important problems come first.
Site readiness
robots.txt, AI crawlers and llms.txt
- robots.txt parsed with the same rules Google uses: most specific group, longest match, wildcards
- Googlebot and Bingbot access to your homepage
- A per-crawler table: GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended, CCBot and more
- AI search crawlers (which can cite you in answers) are kept apart from AI training crawlers. Blocking training bots is your policy choice and never lowers your score.

Questions
Is Kanto SEO Audit on WordPress.org yet?
Not yet. Version 1.0 is finished and tested, and it is being prepared for submission to the WordPress.org plugin directory. Use the Gumroad link on this page if you would like to hear when it is available.
Does it send my content to Kanto Labs or anyone else?
No. The free plugin makes no requests to any server other than your own site: no account, no API key, no telemetry, no ads. It loads your page from your own server over a loopback request, the same way WordPress Site Health does.
Does it work with Yoast SEO, Rank Math, SEOPress or All in One SEO?
Yes. It audits the final HTML your site sends, so it sees the titles, meta descriptions, canonicals and schema your SEO plugin prints. It does not change their settings.
Should I block AI crawlers?
That is your decision. The plugin separates crawlers that power AI search answers (for example OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot) from crawlers that collect training data (for example GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, CCBot). Blocking search crawlers is flagged because it keeps you out of AI answers; blocking training crawlers is shown for information only and never lowers your score.
What will Pro cost?
The price is not set yet. Pro is an optional add-on: every feature of the free plugin stays free and is not time-limited. Request Pro on Gumroad to be told when it is available.
How is this different from the Website SEO Audit tool on Apify?
The Website SEO Audit actor audits any list of URLs on any platform and returns rows of data, billed per page. The WordPress plugin runs inside your own WordPress site for free, and adds the robots.txt, AI crawler and llms.txt check plus an editor panel while you write.
