FAQ
PhilHealth contribution questions
What is the PhilHealth contribution rate for 2026?
5% of the monthly basic salary, with an income floor of ₱10,000 and a ceiling of ₱100,000 (so ₱500 to ₱5,000 a month). That is the rate PhilHealth confirmed for 2025 in Advisory No. 2025-0002. When we checked on September 23, 2026 PhilHealth had not published a separate 2026 premium advisory, so this calculator carries the 2025 rate forward: confirm it with PhilHealth.
How is the PhilHealth premium split between employee and employer?
Equally. On a ₱25,000 basic salary the premium is ₱1,250: ₱625 is deducted from the employee and ₱625 is paid by the employer.
What salary is used: basic or gross?
Monthly basic salary. PhilHealth excludes commissions, overtime, allowances, 13th month pay and bonuses, and also ignores deductions for absences or leave without pay.
What if the salary is below ₱10,000 or above ₱100,000?
Below the floor the premium is computed on ₱10,000 (₱500); above the ceiling it is computed on ₱100,000 (₱5,000).
How much do self-employed or voluntary members pay?
Self-paying members (self-earning individuals, professionals, overseas Filipinos) pay the whole premium themselves, based on declared monthly income. Choose 'Self-paying member' in the calculator; PhilHealth's Statement of Premium Account is the official amount.
